Joe Leonetti is from New Haven, Connecticut. He is about 5'4", and 140-something lbs. He was Mr. Connecticut and Mr. Lightweight Northeast Usa in the late 70s/early 80s.  Around 1981, Joe won the Mr USA - AAU, LightWeight division. It was understood that he could take the Lightweight Mr. America easily and be on his way to the Olympia within no time.  However, an 'incident' with a shotgun left him doing 3-5 years in jail.

When he got out in like 85/86, he kept training, but did not compete.  Working construction/demolition for the state for the next decade, the jackhammer he used eventually caused him 3 strokes.  He now limps into the gym 6 days a week, and he takes time to talk to and encourage the younger kids at the gym to keep their noses clean and train hard.  He can still hit a lat spread or a most muscular that could compete with any lightweight pro today. You can see muscles and rips and shreds that i dont even see in magazines.  im not even joking.  at this gym, we have guys who compete, and Joe sizes them up all the time.
